Bernadette has a rich tapestry of experience living and working in various cultures and organisations. Leaving her native Scotland she spent much of her early career working in the United Arab Emirates taking the opportunity to travel to Kathmandu, Ladakh, and the Far East.
In 1999 she joined the McGuire Programme, a programme for stammers, as the Northern Regional Director (UK). Under her direction the Northern Region grew from two to thirteen support groups and from one to four conferences in a year. She was involved in bringing the programme into public awareness. Her success with the media included features on the Trevor McDonald's ITV programme and in various broadsheet and magazines throughout the UK.
Bernadette, during this period, was recognised as inspirational as a coach, facilitator and trainer. She decided to start her own consultancy and now specialises in one to one counselling and post traumatic stress disorder plus personal development that includes coaching.
